Peek Doctor Ultimate is a Chrome extension that lets you preview where a link leads without leaving the page you are on — hover a link, tap a modifier key, and a live, scrollable, draggable, resizable copy of the destination drops in over the page. This page explains exactly what data the extension touches, what it does with it, and what it does not do.
Nothing. The extension does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal information, browsing history, URLs, page content, analytics, telemetry, or usage data. There are no accounts, no logins, and no remote servers operated by us.
The extension reads only its own previously-saved preferences (your chosen trigger key, hold delay, and remembered preview-window size and position). It observes mouse position and keyboard modifier state on pages you visit in order to detect a hover-and-modifier gesture on a link — this happens entirely inside your browser and is never sent anywhere.
The extension uses Chrome's local storage API on your own device to remember:
This data stays on your machine. It is never uploaded.
The extension requests storage to save the preferences above, declarativeNetRequest to allow the destination page to
render inside the in-page preview overlay (by stripping framing-related response headers on the preview request only), and host access to all sites
so the hover-preview gesture can work on any page you visit. No request bodies, URLs, or page contents are read, logged, or transmitted by the
extension.
The extension does not embed analytics, advertising, or third-party SDKs, and does not load remote code. Previews load destination URLs directly from your browser to those destinations, exactly as if you had opened them yourself.
The extension is suitable for general audiences and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children under 13.
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be published at this same URL with a new "Last updated" date above.
